Simulation Day!
Well, today I had a family of four scheduled, as an assignment for clinical simulation(it is supposed to prepare you for the real world and seeing multiple patients everyday). So, this morning I saw a dad and son, I ended up giving the dad to Gina because hers cancelled. So the morning went well. Then, this afternoon the mom and other son came. He had the grossest mouth, he had braces and they had his breakfast, lunch, and dinner in them. I know I did terribly on him, but what do ya do. He really grossed me out pretty bad, he had nasty breath and he didn't care how much I told him to brush, I know he won't do it. Anyway, so I was supposed to hurry and finish with him and then finish his mom. Nay Nay! This was not going to happen, after cleaning his mouth I only had about 30 minutes to finish his mom, who turned out to be a class 2. So I had to reschedule her for later. Anyway, the simulation day was stressful, and if the real world is as stressful as that, I am doomed!

I bet cleaning that boys mouth made it so lunch didn't sound very good. Way to hang in there!

Do you have the sandblaster?? That's what I would use to clean the nasty brace face kids! OK, so it didn't really blow sand, it was more like mint flavored baking soda, but they all hated it! I told them if they didn't brush good enough, I would have to use it again next time... he he he!!
